Elaine was most pleased to find this beautiful flower basket in our house when we got home from a very productive trip to Lincoln. After mowing our backyard this morning, we learned that new glasses were available for each of us. Elaine is very pleased with hers and I will have to adjust to mine. I helped Elaine pick out a new pair of SAS shoes which fit her perfectly. We did some shopping for a wedding gift where the Bride is registered which was a challenging experience. We stopped at Fallbrook on our way home for a few groceries and watched the Blue Angles "practice" for tomorrow's Air Show.
We hadn't been home very long before the local Flower Shop delivered this beautiful bouquet to her. She has already called the "providers" and will not only enjoy them for Mother's Day but the hanging basket all summer. It looks like she is holding it with one hand but I actually had to have her help me hang it since it's pretty heavy. Our temperature hit 88 here in Seward this afternoon. We spent some time on the deck this morning and at our entry this evening. It felt time for summer and time for drinking a toast to a good day topped off with Flowers, roasting ears and a home made apple pie. Now if the Royals could just overcome a 5 run deficit and win one.
