Jack

Here is what happened to some of Elaine's Cherry Pie when Julie brought Sadie and Jack over to visit on her birthday yesterday. Sadie enjoyed some too but didn't want to be in the picture. Jack seems to enjoy getting his picture taken. If having an inquisitive mind is any indication of intelligence, he should score pretty high because he is certainly full of questions. I noted on Facebook this afternoon a posting of 5-year olds asking something like 444 questions in a day. Jack's Grandpa Hughes responded that he knew a 4-year old that asked 744. Elaine and I had some of the pie this afternoon and will finish it off tonight. Elaine really has a knack for baking Cherry Pies that are the best. While we certainly can't complain about the food that we get here at Brookdale, we do miss many of the dishes that Elaine spoiled me with over the years. It may be that we learn to like some foods based on the memories they invoke. I never remember anything but pleasant comments when Elaine's Cherry Pie was served.
