The Body and Family of President George H.W. Bus were flown to Washington DC today where #41 lies in state in the rotunda of the Capitol. The family delegation was led by George W. Bush #43. The news coverage today was great. What a reminder of the great service that President Bush provided to this Country throughout his long life. It was not only his experience in international relations but also his sense of decency, his respect for the Office of President, and for others that set him apart. I believe our Founders must have recognized that the criteria for being President changes over time with the varying conditions that exist within this Country and throughout the World. My personal memory includes 11 Presidents and President George H.W. Bush brought to the Office, the highest level of general qualifications of any of them, in my opinion.
