Joyfully Sing

The "Joyfully Sing" ladies entertained us this evening with a Christmas Program in the Dining room at Brookdale. The 10 women were lead by Cindy Navis and put on a good show. The group began as a Trio at St. John's Church here is Seward some 25 years ago. I'm sure that Cindy has had a lot to do with the size and quality that they are today. We have known Cindy who led the Kitones at one time when I  was singing with them. Her parents were instrumental in getting the Kitones started some 50 years ago and continued to lead and provide accompaniment for many years. These are all local ladies with the one at the right end being the owner of the Beauty Shop that Elaine patronizes. There was a nice sized crowd that really seemed to appreciate and enjoy the singing. The audience was even asked to join in the singing of several of the old favorites with words on the hand-out program. It was a most inspiring program which we thoroughly enjoyed.
