NOEL

Julie and Jack stopped by this afternoon when they were up this way to pick up Sadie from school. They delivered a great box of fruit, candy, etc. they had ordered from Oregon. We will enjoy it over the Holidays. After his one cookie, Jack headed for the NOEL figurine display. This has been in the family since the early days of our marriage. Somewhere along the way, it became tradition to move the angels around to have it spell LEON. As the 3rd or 4th generation "Angel mover" Jack just moves them around and challenges his mother to pronounce the word it spells. It was enough fun to even take priority over playing with his Texaco trucks.
Carolyn took us up to see their "finished" house earlier this afternoon. It is just great. She was able to pull right in to the garage where I commented that it was the cleanest and whitest garage I'd ever seen. (It's all finished out with white drywall and is larger than our first house).
This evening we went on a Brookdale tour of Christmas Lights at homes in Seward. They just seem to get more special every year. Our weather has been great for putting out lights and decoration but will likely change before time to take them down.
