Happy Mother's Day

We enjoyed a great Mother's day Dinner and the big Pink Rose that Elaine received as we left the Dining room. Carolyn came up shortly. We had a good visit and admired the bouquet from Tim's. Then, Julie, John and the kids came up with ice cream sundaes from Dairy Queen. Needless to say, they hit the spot. Owenses also brought up a beautiful hanging basket of Impatience. John got them hung up along with the bird feeder. Now I can watch the birds and flowers at the same time from my chair. Carolyn had brought up some Marigolds and pots a couple days ago and Sadie decided she wanted to plant them.
She is a good little gardener. She even showed me how to loosen the roots of the little plants after they are removed from the plastic container before putting them in the ground. Jack was interested in what was going on but Sadie already had more help than she really wanted with me involved in firming them up after planting.
