60 Minutes

Elizabeth Holmes, the CEO of Theranos was on 60 Minutes this evening. Theranos is a privately held health technology company known for its false claims to have devised revolutionary blood tests that used very small amounts of blood. She built the company and made millions before it was determined that the tests were not as reliable as required. She had many friends in high places including George Schultz who served in several high level Government positions including Secretary of State. Ironically, Schultz's grandson, Taylor Schultz was shown on the program as one who presented damaging evidence to authorities. When we lived in Virginia on Arlington Ridge Road back in the early '70's the George Schultz house was up the hill in a very exclusive neighborhood from where we lived. However, our son Tim liked to go up to the Ft. Scott Playground, and it was there that he became well acquainted with Peter Schultz, one of George's children. I don't know if Peter is Taylor's father but could be..

  1. I didn't know that Peter was a friend of Tim's. I had a drama class with him. He wanted me to become a stand-up comedian and he was going to be my manager!
