Polka Jamboree

Franklin Hronik brought his Polka Jamboree to the January Birthday celebration today at Brookdale. They really liven things up with such pieces as the "Saddle Horse" polka, the "Green Meadow" walz and many others. They always concluded their hour-long program with "When we parted". I can just hear Dad playing many of their songs on his accordion over the years. I would love for Jon to have an opportunity to play with them sometime when he's back here. Jean lives in the Brainard area and told of their house cat detecting a Raccoon in their yard. Her husband shot the animal and they threw it in the road ditch the next morning. She looked in that direction the next morning and saw this big bird working on the carcus. After looking with binoculars it was clearly an Eagle. A pair of Eagles have been around their place ever since.
