Good old Days

This is among my favorites of early family pictures. Carolyn was only a few months old, Verlon would have been 3, and Tim wasn't yet 2, and Jon was still a year away from joining us All 4 of them were with us before Verlon's 5th birthday. What we didn't know  at the time, was how great those early years really were. The boys have all been very important to our well being at various times in our lives and now Carolyn is our major caretaker. She was a major influence in out moving here to Brookdale over 2 years ago and seldom misses a day of doing something for us. She was here today to fill out pill boxes and keeps all the prescriptions up-to-date. Elaine continues to do our clothes laundry and other household chores. We are both involved in our financial management and are still getting organized in living with limited storage space. I try to ride the Nu-Step bikes in the recreation room every day and continue to build social relationships with our fellow residents.
