I joined this table of "Red Beer" drinkers at Happy Hour in the Coffee Room at Brookdale this afternoon. This seems to be the favorite drink for a majority of residents here. I may have drank some years ago before Elaine and I were married but I have no memory of it. I remember seeing it on the Bar in Bee while stopping for ice cream as we went through town. Mr. Fougeron, seated at my left, told of a "tongue-twister" saying that he used to determine his drinking limitation as a young man. When he was unable to recite it correctly, it was his signal to quit drinking. Mr. Gustafson is from David City and LeRoy Fiala is our Czech singer who's son owns and lives on the old Spike Shipley place.
