Janet Jeffries played her guitar and sang a lot of Country and Popular old time music at Brookdale this afternoon. She was formerly with the "Kramer Sisters" that have sung here in the past. I felt fortunate in getting away to hear her after several hours of working with Elaine on a foot problem. Carolyn came down and took her to the Clinic this morning where she saw Dr. Plasek. (Dr. Summa was out of town). His diagnose was :an inflamed tendon sheath" with "rest" and the application of ice for 15 minutes every 2-3 hours. She had therapy with Josh yesterday afternoon and didn't feel a problem until later in the day. She had sat reading and when getting up, fell forward. She had difficulty getting around all evening and I had problems getting her put to bed. She slept fairly well but unable to get to the bathroom. After getting her to breakfast and dressed, I called Carolyn who came down right away. She got her regular weekly beauty shop appointment canceled and to the Doctor. While the treatment didn't bring about any swift improvement, the ice, wrapping and soaking got it to where she was able to go to supper tonight and get around with her walker. Hopefully, it will be better tomorrow.
