Between the Seward 4th of July celebration as shown by Lincoln TV and the Seward paper, I felt like I'd seen quite a bit of it. It has become one of Nebraska's major summer events with vendors coming from miles to display their wares. Sadie came in 2nd in the trycycle race this morning near where the water fight was going on. The dedication of a new exhibit at the Nebraska National Guard Museum drew a large crowd this morning with record breaking numbers touring the facility.
Part of the Parade coverage was taken at the intersection of 1st and Seward street. Our former house is just up the street a half block on the left side of the picture. Carolyn and Ben came up to visit while the parade was going on. I'm sure we enjoyed their visit more than we might have the parade with heat index over 100. We will step out on our Patio tonight to see some of the fireworks. We have been "enjoying" the sound of them all week and tonight they can be shot-off until midnight. We are really enjoying the NET TV coverage from Washington, D.C.
