Jackie Armstrong, a long time friend from the days of our youth, came in to visit with us this evening. She lives in Mosquite, Nevada, and drove back with a daughter. Jackie graduated from Seward High School in 1949 and married Don Armstrong in the fall of '50. The first years of their marriage were out on an Armstrong farm north of Garland. It was where Ted Kooser's live today. Don and I were in the same HS class at Garland and continued to be close friends over the years. They had a park model in Donna, Texas next door to my sister and her husband's back in the 90's where we also spent a month or so each winter. Don died some 5 years ago and Jackie hasn't been back to Seward for some time. It was great to get caught up on our families and we had a great visit.
