Don and I with our "first borns" Verlon and Kathy out in the alfalfa field on the "Mak" farm in late 1951. Don ran the hay buck on front of the JD taking it up to the "overhead" stacker. Dad ran the Ford tractor pulling the rope that took the load on the stacker up to where I was with a fork on top of the stack spreading out the load and moving it into shape.
